Can anyone recommend a good bakery in Staten Island or New Jersey? My venue is in Old Bridge. I want to surprise my FI at the reception with a guitar shaped groom's cake. I emailed my venue with some pics for ideas and the pastry chef rejected all of them saying they were too detailed. I also sent a pic of the logo for Dream Theater and asked if the pastry chef could make just a regular square shaped cake with that logo. Again, too detailed. They said if I want to go to an outside bakery for the cake then I could and there wouldn't be any additional charges.
