BM Dress. Set my mind at ease?

One of my 2 pregnant bridesmaids decided to exchange her dress for one that she thought would give her more baby bump room. She may or may not be showing at the time of the wedding, but this is setting her mind at ease.

My bridesmaids were all going to wear short dresses in mix-matched styles. All are from David's bridal in the same color and fabric. She exchanged the short dress for a below the knee (but not floor length) dress. I think it looks really nice on her, but I guess I just want the extra assurance that it won't look out of place along with the other bridesmaids. Her comfort is my top priority.

What do you think? Barely noticeable, right?

pic 1 is the short dress, pic 2 is the new dress.

  • I'm sure it will look great. Has she tried on the dress? I tried on that one and the fabric hanging down the front was kind of weird for me.
  • @sarahbear31 - Yeah, she sent me a picture and it looks great on her. Maybe even better than her original dress.
  • I think it'll look good! She needs to be comfortable :)

  • I think both dresses look great and compliment each other!  Is that the color?

  • Yes, it is the color! I really liked it for a fall wedding. Now that it's getting cooler out so early in the season, maybe I should've gone with longer dresses for everyone.. Polar vortex must be returning early to PA.
  • They both look nice.  I guess I don't really understand what your worry is, since everyone in the BP is going to be wearing mismatched dresses on the same colour and material, so what does it matter if one BM changes styles?

  • doeydo, My worry was that everyone was mismatched but the same short length. Hers will be longer, and it looks a little longer on her than it does on the model in the picture.

Ahhhh I LOVE it!!  Although, full disclosure: that's the color I wanted for our wedding, so I might be a little biased ;)

  • Ditto Lolo. My girls all had the same dress, due to their different heights, the hems hit all the girls at different lengths.  But since they were all different heights, you couldn't really tell anyway.

Oh, OK.  I agree with Lolo on this; there will be hardly be any noticeable difference regarding lengths between her's and the rest of the BMs' dresses.

  • I normally don't comment but for my recent wedding I had my MOH in the first one and a bridesmaid in the second one. Same color too. It worked out great.

Agree with PPs. It's no big deal.
  • Comfortable, confident BM photograph better anyway, I wouldn't notice at all.
