I'm back! (at least for now.)

So I accepted a new job and start on Sept. 15. That's news #1. Not sure how much time I'll get to be on TK. But it's a small weekly that's so much more stable than my current company. I'll miss my current town though. I'll get two new towns to cover with the new job.

FI and I have been having the big money talks. We don't know if we can afford moving in yet because his job isn't year round and only pays minimum wage. On top of that, we're hoping to keep our date, but may have to postpone. Everything's been crazy.

What did I miss? @GoldenPenguin and @CocoBellaF, you guys are mods now?

Congrats on the new job!! I'm glad you'll be more stable. 

You guys will figure out the money situation. You still have so much time before your wedding, you can save & get things figured out. Has he looked into getting a second job or anything like that?

I'm the mod of Just Engaged & Proposals. It's kind of boring over there though. That wasn't my first choice.

Welcome back and congrats on the new job! I'm sorry to hear about the money issues but you guys have time so hopefully things will start to work themselves out! Is your FI still applying to other positions? Could he potentially pick up a second job?

I started my new job last week, with that and the PMP classes I'm so busy!

yes, I am the mod of NEY.  I also noticed @peaseblossom55 has a mod sticker next to her now.

He's still picking up side work with the audio guy he does stuff for and he's still applying everywhere for a solid, full-time position. So we're trying! I hate the waiting game. At least I get a small pay bump with my new job.

Congrats on the new job! I just got one too and start on Friday! I'm very psyched about it although I know it's going to be rather exhausting once I have actual students. They're fun though, so I'm excited. You will definitely figure out the money situation We all face it at some time and as long as you're reasonable through it, it's a hill that you can get over. I have faith in you

@lilacck28 Just officially signed the papers today!  I'm teaching HS math - it was supposed to be geo and alg 2, but it's actually going to be geo and alg 1 which is just as exciting!  I'm stoked.  I start my two days of prep on Friday and should have students by Tuesday!

Welcome back! We missed you! Congrats on the new job! Just try and be patient on the money stuff. It will all come together soon! You guys have tons of time before your wedding, so there's no reason to stress just yet about the finances of it. I hope your FI is able to find something stable soon!

@blackbird230 I just realized, I congratulated you on my OLW post, but I forgot to on this one! I'm so happy you found a new, more stable position! Was it the one we talked about at your alma mater? Or something else? Either way--- that's fantastic!
