Going Dress shopping with my future SIL tomorrow

Tomorrow I'm going dress shopping with my older brother's fiance, we both have weddings coming up soon, though my wedding is a lot sooner than hers (December)  

Any shopping tips?

I'd definitely visit places that sell of the rack first.  Often the turn around on those dresses is a couple of weeks, due to cleaning, and that will leave you enough time for alterations.  Following that, call your local boutiques and ask if they have any samples in or around your size (keeping in mind that bridal sizes are different from street sizes and vary by designer) that they would be willing to part with.  Even with a rush order, I doubt you'd be able to put in an order for anything that would come before December, let alone leave you time to have it altered.  I rush ordered mine at the end of July or beginning of August, and the estimated delivery is the end of October.

We don't have an appointment, it's just a little shop with consignment dresses. BUT, if we were to get appointments somewhere we'd get two appointments at the same time
