Wedding Invitations & Paper

Seal And Send Invites: Yes or No

What do you think about the "seal and send" or "all in one" invitations? I just learned about them tonight and we are considering it. If yes, what sites have you found them on?

Re: Seal And Send Invites: Yes or No

  • They are a rather new idea.  Why do you want to choose them?
My own invitations were very traditional, and I framed one as a keepsake.

  • I'm not a big fan of them.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • They are inexpensive but still look nice. They also save paper.
  • There is just something about them that remind me of Valentine's cards we traded as kids at school, where you folded them over and sealed them with a sticker.

  • I don't think they are a new idea, my sister used them 7 years ago for her wedding. She liked them. But are less formal, but you save on postage. However I spent the same on Vista print invites using postcards for the RSVP cards.

  • Some of them are very pretty. They're fine if you can fit all the info on one page and you're having a casual wedding. If you're trying  to cut costs, it's better to do it on the invites than something that will impact your guests comfort and enjoyment.

You can use Vistaprint to save money.  I believe they have a recycled paper option.  I don't think seal and send invitations use any less paper than traditional invitations, though.

  • I LOVED mine.  I thought they were beautiful, and I got a lot of feedback from guests that they liked the ease of one piece of paper (rather than a ton of inserts, 2 envelopes, separate RSVP cards, etc).

Also, I don't know if it was just our guests that were particularly awesome, but I had all my RSVPs back before the deadline and I definitely think the format of the invites were partly responsible.

    I used Carlson Crafts.
  • I loved mine too.  I also got a TON of compliments on them from guests.  They aren't seen too often I guess.

I believe that mine were from Invitations by Dawn, but i'm not sure.  In any event, make sure you get samples and mail one to yourself to see that they hold up in the postal system.  All Seal and Sends are NOT created equally.

  • I agree that not all created equal. I ordered samples from Dawn's and Annie's Bargin Bridal. I'll have to look at Carlson Crafts. Thanks ladies!
  • I got samples sent from foreverfiances and I loved them. I think they are practical, more environmentally friendly, and modern.

  •     A cousin that got married last year used them. They are just as married as they would have been using more expensive formal invites. I rarely remember what the invitation looked like about five minutes after the wedding is over though.

Most people won't get offended at seal and send invites, and if they do they really need to get a hobby. It's better to spend less on invitations than to have to skimp on food or drink because you spent too much on paper goods.

They aren't appropriate for a full on black tie affair, but let's face it, how many people have those?

  • I found several on David's Bridal and they will send you  5 free samples
I love the one that I found there, the quality was great and they look nice.
  • I LOVED mine.  More than one person has told be how beautiful they were.  They were inexpensive (comparatively) and I loved the convience.

  • We got our send and seals on Ann's Bridal Bargains and loved them!

I was a bit uncomfortable just mailing the invites like that so I mailed them in envelopes, still budget friendly!
  • I am pricing our invitations and I saw seal and send ones on here: http://www.annsbridalbargains.com/
  • I think seal n send invites will be an uncommon choice. You can try those. Last month one of my friend ordered them from http://www.123weddingcards.com and there services were absolutely satisfactory. They customize your invitations according to your requirements. For a little change you can try their scroll wedding cards. It is a type of scrolling card also known as "Farman" like those used in ancient times by the kings to send any message. Something of this kind:
