Re: i need help picking a wedding date

  • Well, you live there. What months are comfortable to be outside? What time of year do you prefer? Is the time of year a factor in the kind of wedding you want?
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • ASK YOUR LOCAL BOARD

I live in Tennessee and have only been to Florida twice, and that was not by my choice. I don't know of any regs on here who live in Florida. The women on the Florida boards would know about your seasons, but I know more about the weather in Stockholm, Sweden than I do about the weather in St Pete, Florida.

  • January/February - sandwiched in between the Christmas Break and Spring Break crowds.  Otherwise, April or September.

Seriously, choose a date that you can reliably make a break for it during that time/season of the year for a honeymoon or anniversary trip.

  • Another vote for your local.  I've only been to Orlando, and the only time of year I'm willing to be outdoors there is November-March.
  • I've never been to Florida. August should get you some good discounts with the heat and possibility of hurricanes.

I think you need to take your guests' comfort into account - are most of the guests local or are they from up north? I say that because I'm a yankee who lives in Houston - 60s-70s in December is comfortable for me, but the locals are pretty much wearing winter coats if it drops below 70.
