  • @Ndelible‌ we just couldn't justify $3k on a suite for one night NOT including food, drink or entertainment. It was SO nice but not practical for the budget we want to stay in. We decided to forgo a suite all together because the late check-in freaks me out (ceremony is at 2 pm + we're locals and I don't want to pay for the night before).

We decided to do to the DDB tour immediatey following the ceremony then dinner at Aria Cafe followed by an after party at PBR (which with all of that brings us to right around what the suite itself was).

I'm hearing you on that. I'm going back and forth. Our larger guest list prevents us from doing a tour bus or just straight dinner. I've kind of screwed us. I should have said no to almost everyone cause I felt guilty. We are going to get a suite because my FSD is getting married in whatever done we get. That is a much smaller list (only 12). She has been better at saying no to family and friends than me, that's for sure! I am back to MB for an in suite reception with either Masterpiece or FireFly. Oh vey!

  • I have heard that Firefly has been shut down a few times due to health code inspections.  I'm sure their food is just fine as they have many good reviews, but I don't even want to risk food poisoning that week.

Oh, I saw that too.  I Googled it and searched on the boards here.  It was in 2013.  I always figure that when a successful business gets dinged like that, they have all the more incentive to make it right and will really be on its Ps & Qs.  So, while it's a concern, I'm not too worried about it.  There is a recent thread where a Knottie used them and was very happy with the quality and taste of the food.

  • @ericandmarie who did you contact to view the suites? I'm planning a trip next month and hoping to look at some myself

    Thanks
  • @toughcookie508‌ it's definitely not easy and my WC said we were the first one to be able to in the year and a half that she's worked there. You have to call the villa reservation line and say your interested in a villa on your day as well as touring it on such and such day. Within a week management will call back and say whether it's available or not and then offer you a tour.
  • I was really hoping someone would have actually walked through the panoramic sky suite by now ^_^
