Outdoor Wedding first weekend in May??

Hi all,

My fiance and I are considering booking our wedding the first week in May. Our ceremony would be held outdoors, but the reception inside. Is the weather too cold in North Jersey this early in May? I'd love to weigh in on your thoughts...

    Depends on the kind of winter we have but I think it should be ok.  I would picture early May being like the weatehr we are having now breezy but not to bad.

    I went to an outdoor wedding the first weekend of this past May. It was gorgeous out, but I am glad I wore a dress with 3/4 sleeves. It also ended up raining during their reception. As with any outdoor wedding, have a backup plan for bad weather.

    I went to one this past May, after the awful winter we had. The couple really lucked out because it was pouring and then stopped, became sunny and windy for their sun set ceremony. Their pictures turned out great but the weather was definitely a tease.

    Depends. Early May should be fine. Just make sure you have a backup plan in case it's colder than expected (or it's raining!).
