All right ladies, I need party planning help

My dad's 60th birthday is coming up in Sept and my mom and I are trying to plan something but coming up with nada.  For my mom's 60th in March we did a small family/close friends dinner in the wine room at London Grill.  My dad is more of a laidback guy though - buffet, bbq, lots of people hanging out and mingling. So here's what you need to know:He refuses to go to the west side unless absolutely necessaryHe is a meat and potatoes kind of guyHe grew up on a farm and is a total cowboySo whaddaya got?!  There is the option of doing something at my parents' house with catering brought in, but we'd rather have a party elsewhere.

What about Mcmenamin's Edgefield?  It's outside.. optional for inside/outside events.. They have a variety of drinks, food etc.

Funny, Edgefield was the first place I thought of too!  I think we've decided on Stone Cliff Inn out by Carver, it's someplace he loves and is reasonably priced.

Buster's BBQ is where FI's family does their get togethers.  I believe there are 2, one is on 99W/Barbur (I can't remember how far up it is... I think its between I-5 and 217 on 99W).They are cowboy/meat and potatoes/BBQ kinda people and they have a room in the back for large parties.
