Back from Vegas! Reviews....

I have been a lurker on this board for a little while but never posted anything.  I just got back from getting married in Vegas last week and wanted to give some credit to some of the people that made my wedding so perfect.  Just some background info on our wedding....we went very small and low key.  There were only 7 people there with us and we did not do some of the typical "wedding" things.  Instead of a reception we just went out to dinner and we didn't do a rehearsal dinner.

Vdara (Hotel) - A....We stayed at the Vdara which is the sister property of the Aria.  We had a corner suite that overlooked the Bellagio fountains.  It was amazing!  We liked that there was not a casino in the hotel because by the time we made it back every night the hotel was calm and quiet.  It was right in the middle of everything...the location was perfect!

Men's Wearhouse- B...We decided to rent DH's tux at home and travel with it.  We ordered it from our local Men's Wearhouse and usually you have to pick it up the day before the wedding, but since we were flying out that day they let us pick it up a day earlier.  The tux was great, but the shoes didn't fit.  Since we were flying out they ordered another pair to be sent to the LV location and we picked them up when we got into town.  We were able to drop the tux off at the LV location the day after we got married.  The store is not on the strip, but it not very far out of the way.  We rented a car for the week anyway and only had to drive about 15 min to get there.  Giving them a B because of the shoes being the wrong size, but they did fix it without giving us any problems. Had we been getting married the next day it would have caused more of an issue.

Stevee Danielle (Hair and Makeup)- A+...Sam was my hair/makeup artist and she was great!  She came to our room which was definitely the way to go!  I showed her a couple of pictures of what I wanted and she did a great job.  I felt gorgeous and I got tons of complements on my makeup and hair... my photographer who deals with brides everyday even asked who had done my makeup and said that it looked amazing.

Mon Ami Gabi (after wedding dinner)- A+...We had reservations for 10 people and they got us right to our table.  The service was great and the food was excellent. We looked for a long time trying to decide on a good after wedding place to go for dinner and we were not disappointed in our choice.  It has a romantic and cozy atmosphere and was perfect for a special occasion.

Chapel of the Flowers- A+++....This is the main reason I felt I needed to get on here and review everything.  I cannot say enough good things about them!  Months and months ago when we booked our wedding we had lots of questions about customizing our wedding package and they were extremely helpful and guided us to create a wedding package that included everything we wanted.  Their website is very user friendly and we were able to get into our account online and make payments a little at a time.  The website also guides you through everything you need to do as the wedding day gets closer.  The day of the wedding a limo arrived to pick us up at the hotel.  All of our guests were able to ride with us in the limo.  From the second we arrived on Chapel of the Flowers property we were very very impressed with the level of personal attention we received.  We chose the Magnolia Chapel (they have multiple to choose from) and when we walked in they were ready to greet us with a sign welcoming us by name.  We were introduced to our photographer and our minister at this point. The minister met with us for a few minutes and then the ceremony began.  I was completely blown away by how personal and touching our ceremony was...I was not expecting this at all and our guests all said the same thing.  For doing ~30 weddings a day, I felt like they really went out of the way to ask the right questions to get to know us so that they could personalize our ceremony.  I was very very pleased!  We received two copies of our video as soon as the ceremony was over, and they also broadcasted it live over the internet so our family at home was able to watch as it was happening. We had paid for an upgraded photo package (definitely the way to go...) so immediately after the ceremony we started taking our pictures.  Our photographer, Phillip, was amazing!  He had great ideas and had great attention for detail...multiple times we found him getting on the ground or in bushes to get a good shot! We took pictures in and around the Chapel and then went out on the strip to take pictures.  The limo drove us all around while we stopped to take pictures (to the Vegas sign and Bellagio fountains) and then dropped us off at the hotel.  We never felt rushed or like Phillip needed to wrap things up to get back.  He suggested places to go take pictures and really spent a lot of time making sure we got some good shots.  He was fantastic!  We went back to the Chapel the next day to look at/pick up our pictures (yes...we got to pick them up the next day!!).  We drove ourselves to the appointment, but they offered to pick us up in a limo.  Our pictures turned out beautifully.  We spent a couple of hours looking at our pictures and choosing what we wanted.  We left with our small pictures and they shipped our large prints to our house.  Every single detail is thought of and taken care of.  I can't imagine anything they could have done to make our experience any better.  Our wedding was everything we hoped for and more...definitely recommend them!!

I think that covers everything!  Good luck to all of you still planning and I hope this helps a little.  Getting married in Vegas was definitely a good choice!
