Opinion: Short hair with long veil

Just wondering what the general opinion of a long veil with short hair is. I have a pixie cut, and I am looking into birdcage veils because I think I could rock the heck out of one :) But I've always dreamed of having a long veil. I doubt very much I'll get a long veil since it seems too formal for my casual wedding, but just wondering what the general opinion is.

    I agree.  They certainly can look amazing.  Don't let the short hair put you off if you really want one.

    Well, shoot. That certainly didn't help my indecisiveness! Hmm... maybe I should try on a long veil, just to see... :)

    Haha!  Trying one on is a  great idea.  Try on both to see how they look.  Do you already have your dress?  That would also affect the look.  In general though, I kind of like the short hair/long veil contrast.  I especially like the first and third pictures of the bunch I posted.  That first one is just very tinkerbell-fairy-princess like to me, and I love it!  The third is super glamorous and has that dramatic poufy look at the top.

    No, the wedding isn't until July. I haven't even tried on a dress yet. But I'm imagining a more casual dress, so I'm not sure a long veil would work. But I think I'll try on all my options, just in case :)

    Well it definitely is not too early to start looking.  Dresses can take quite some time to come in once they're ordered.

    When you do go to try on dresses and you find some you like, try them on with both veil styles (the bridal shop should have these available for you) and see what works best.  I'm sure you'll look great no matter what! :)

    I also have short (and spiky) hair - and I'm going with a birdcage-ish style.  I love the look of a long veil, but the short suits my own personal style more.  Just try both styles on and go with whichever one makes you feel more beautiful :)

    I second what Lurkgirl suggested...try them both on with your dress at the salon.  Even if you don't buy one there you will have a better idea of what you are looking for.
