Destination Elopement

My fiance and I in Columbus, OH are thinking of eloping somewhere in the south. The locations we've come up with so far are New Orleans, Charleston and Savannah, GA. Does anyone know the waiting period for these locations between applying for the license and getting married? Any nice courthouses to do it in? Any other locations you know to be lovely for a very small wedding (abt 6 people including fiance and me).

If you are having guests, your wedding will be a private, intimate wedding rather than an elopement. An elopement suggests you are not telling anyone about your wedding until after you are already married. Having guests changes the entire dynamic of how you will plan your wedding, as you'll have to make arrangements to properly host them following the ceremony, An elopement has no guests, so it's not quite as involved.
