I just posted on Craigslist: Weddings are extremely expensive, and in an economic time like this, many engaged couples are forced to either elope or postpone their wedding plans. We were married on September 12th, and we bought quite a few of our decorations, rather than renting them. The reception was BEAUTIFUL! The only problem is that we now have a home full of wedding decorations that we no longer have a use for-- AND WE'RE MOVING! I would love to offer our materials to someone who can enjoy them. We've got a "reception in a box" of sorts... I think $100 for everything would be fair, but I am more than willing to negotiate, and just sell a few items instead of everything. I have 18 IKEA square black plates for centerpieces, 18 white centerpiece vases (We put one red dahlia in each vase, and it was a fantastic pop of red), five vases with red, black, and white ribbons for a candy bar (we did Winco bulk candies-- red hot tamales, white yogurt covered pretzels, etc), two scoops for the candy, roughly 50 black paper bags, and 50 red for people to take candy home, and a flower girl basket.
