I'm so glad...

...I spent time and effort choosing a lovely gift for the wedding of one of FI's friends this summer, not to mention changing our summer vacation plans and travelling halfway across the country to attend, only to receive an unpersonalized, generic postcard "thank you." Icing on the cake--it was only addressed to FI. WHY, WHY, WHY do people think this is okay? We are both pretty offended, truth be told.

  • dayum, that's tacky.  But at least you got SOMETHING.  I'm still waiting on (and not expecting) thank you notes from several weddings we recently attended :(
  • It took 2 months BTW (which I feel like is kind of a long time for a not huge wedding). Must've been a slow printer.

2 months isn't great, but I don't think it's that bad. But a non-personalized postcard is tacky. I'm most slighted by the fact that I stepped in to host a bachelorette party / lingerie shower for a friend when her MOH cancelled. I also bought her a nice nightie from Soma. Zero thank-you. So I get it.
