So I am making my own veil. I bought veil combs in a six pack at Hobby Lobby, and the tulle was 87 cents a yard and I bought 21 yards. My veil is going to be in two pieces, an under comb with layers going to 10 feet and an upper comb with layers going to my fingertips. The under comb will be taken out after the ceremony and the upper comb will stay on through the reception.

Next layer... This layer is 5 feet and 10 inches, it hits just above my ankle. The under comb is done except I'm going to hot glue ribbon over the comb to hold the layers together a little better

  • Very cool! Let us know how it goes. I've been thinking about making my own :) Good luck!

  • It was super easy! You'll just need to gather the tulle to fit to the comb and then stitch it to the comb. It took me less than two hours.
