Name Change

Does anyone know how long it typically takes to get your name changed on all your documents?  We are getting married in March but not going on our honeymoon until late August.  So I'm just wondering if that would be enough time to get my new SS card, license, and we are going out of the country so I'll need a new passport too.  I have to decide what name to put my reservation in.  If it's not enough time I'll put it in my maiden but I'd like to put it under my married name.  Thanks ladies!

    I don't know about the passport, but everything else can be done within a week or two.

    Usually a passport takes 6-8 weeks, so I think you'd be fine to make plans under your married name. The SS card and license are quick and easy.

    You can pay an additional fee to expedite your passport.  I had mine back with in 2 weeks after expediting.  You just have to take into account the 2 weeks it takes to change everything else before you can apply for your passport.
