Has anybody been to this venue? Online the pictures look nice, but a review said it was very close to a prison
We want to go see it but would like some more feedback.
Or if you guys know of any other reception venues let me know!:)

The proximity to the jail is not as much of an issue because the room does not have windows.  Your guests will only see it from the parking lot.  Other than that, the room is "eh" and the food is about at the OK level. "Historic" is a quaint way to say "old".  Just don't love the place, sorry.

This is my reception venue. We were looking for a unique venue with a vintage vibe and this place fit the bill. It is close to the Broward County jail but as the other response pointed out, you only see it from the parking lot. We just had our tasting a few weeks ago and were very pleased. We're serving steak & shrimp and were able to customize the preparation for both, and all of the hors d'oeuvres we tried were excellent. The wedding coordinator, Andie is also a sweet heart. Enthusiastic and accommodating. You should check it out!
