After Ceremony - how to get 34 guests to dinner?

Hi All-  I need to transport 35 guests from the ceremony location to dinner.  I really don't want to split them up into 2 groups but it looks like I may have to.  The 35 person party bus I found has a 2 hour minimum so that's not practical when it should take us 15 minutes each way to go from one location to the other.

Has anyone else used 2 20 person buses or limo's to transport your guests?  Did it work out OK splitting up?

I really want to get everyone there at one time so I don't want to use one limo and 2 trips, if I can avoid it.  Suggestions?

 Thanks!

  • Are you able to get the 20 passenger without a minimum?

  • Bell Trans and Presidential Limo both offer busses that hold 20 to 30 people and can be booked for just an hour, so probably check into them.  I don't think there's anything wrong with splitting things up; everyone will surely understand.

We ended up splitting out guests up into two 24 passenger buses just due to the three hour minimums a lot of the companies require for the larger buses. We are going with Bell Trans and two of their 24 passenger vans. They run $65 (with gratuity $77) per hour. To get our guests to the reception we are renting two, but to bring guests back and the end of the evening we are just going to rent one and have them do two trips. They don't have any minimums above an hour that I know of, it saved us a couple hundred at least, and they have been good to work with so far!
