tipping coordinator?

I'm wondering if it's generally expected to tip your day-of coordinator, and by how much? Also, she will have an assistant with her -- should I tip the assistant separately? And by how much?

When I hired my DOC she sent me a list of suggested tips for vendors (as a guide) and she included "Personal Event Coordinator: 10-15%." I'm taking that to mean she's expecting to be tipped! But I'm really not sure what to do for her assistant, who I'm sure will be working hard as well.

    I have the same question... My DOC was $850, and she brings two assistants. Not sure what they will be expecting, or what is appropriate.

    I'd tip the assistants as they work for her, but if she's running her own business, she doesn't get tipped herself.

    No, my DOC doesn't own her own business, she works for a company that plans weddings/events. Sounds like I should tip them both (my DOC plus her assistant).
