Why so difficult?!?! [rant; TMI]

This thread terrifies me.  I have never had my nether regions waxed and I'm pretty sure I never will, mostly because of the pain factor and partly because it would never really occur to me to go totally hairless.  The naked look reminds me too much of a little girl, it just weirds me out.  I shave my bikini area (in the direction of hair growth so I don't get ingrowns) and I use an electric trimmer to keep everything short and groomed.  But total bareness just weirds me out.

I do my own bikini line, and have for years.  I won't pay for it, cos I do a pretty good job, and also cos it hurts more there.  I do it right after a long hot shower, so the hair seems to pop out a bit easier.  I also use a sugaring formula over wax, which also hurts less

@JCBride2015 I understand that,  I guess for me it was all the sports (Like Swimming and Cheerleading)  that just make it easier to go all bare than to just do the Bikini area.  For me its just means less maintenance because you get rid of all of it, and you don't have to worry over whether or not you got it close enough or whatever.

Big, BIG difference b/w waxing the bikini line and going for a full Brazilian. Huge. How would you even do Brazilian by yourself? Honest question - is it even possible? I would think the angels would make it beyond difficult. This is my thought. I can do a DIY bikini wax but I'm not going near some of that other stuff by myself. I'll let someone else.

I guess it depends on if you're okay with putting yourself in pain and also how much you want to remove. I'm used to sticking myself with needles (I'm hypoglycemic and before I had to under control, I had to check it a few times a day) so waxing my bikini line was no big deal. Popped a couple tylenol 45 mins before and I was able to do it. Wound up doing my armpits too and holy hell, I think that was worse than the bikini line. The only difficult thing was not yelping because I did this in college and my roommates at the time did not know how to knock. I was scared they'd walk in on me waxing my vag.

If you want to wax the whole area, I don't think I'd DIY. Too many little nooks and crannies. But doing just the bikini line was easy.

Oh Gosh, I had a Brazilian wax when I was about 19 and that was the ONLY time I did it. Never went back. Bitch hurts like hell. Except when she did my butt crack. That was a pleasant tickle. I wax my arms and sideburns though. I can be a hairy monster sometimes.

I'm a little late to the party.  But I'll chime in anyways.

I used to get a Brazillian every month for about 2 years.  It wasn't that bad.  Truthfully I would much rather get a Brazillian than my armpits waxed.  

The girl who waxed me told me about the one [and only] time she had a guy ask her to wax him.  She had been doing waxing for almost fifteen years and had never had a guy asked to be waxed.  But when this guy called she thought she would give it a try.  She left the room to let him get ready, and when she walked back in he had an erection and said something weird to her.  She was like, "NOPE." told him to get dressed and leave.  

I think a lot of places are uncomfortable because it isn't as common for men to get waxed.
