The first month of my engagement was one of the most hectic and stressful months of my life. I dove right into wedding planning and I wasn't prepared for the decisions and conflicts that it would erupt. Within a month we made a full circle in our planning, beginning and ending with a large backyard wedding. The stressful part was the many variations we attempted to arrange during that time. Before we returned to our original plan, we were arranging an intimate wedding in the private room of a restaurant. Once I began setting my plans into place with the venue and hired professionals, I finally thought to confirm that the restaurant had handicap accessibility (silly me, making assumptions) and was unpleasantly surprised when they reported that they didn't. Unfortunately, that wouldn't work with our elderly grandparents. I ran my professionals through a variation of dates, locations, and details. I also drove myself into a slight insanity. Luckily, the stress has leveled out. We now have our venue, food provider, photographer, officiant, and the dress!
