Engagement photo with STD

I am sending out my STD's in a few weeks and my mom is suggesting that I send a copy of one of my e-photos with them. Our STD's do not have our photos on them, not my style.  I can understand that some people might want a copy (grandparents, relatives we don't see often..etc.) but I was planning on just giving those people a copy in a nice frame as part of a Christmas gift or something.  Is it too "in your face" to include a copy of the photos with the STD, especially since they have nothing to do with the STD itself?

I'd just send them to the grandparents and close relatives that you think will want them. I wouldn't wait until Christmas to give it to them. They'll want to show it off now : )

I think sending them only to selected people will be appropriate.
