HELP choosing a bridesmaid dress!!

I am having a hard time making this decision. Here is my dress along with the bridesmaids dress I liked (it is photoshopped to the color that I want it, so it might not be completely accurate). I like that it has a similar neckline and lace back like my dress. However, the bridesmaids like the second dress better. My concern is that they don't go as well with my dress. Thoughts? Any other suggestions. Thanks!

IMO it's kind of strange when brides want BMs to "match" dresses with them.  I say go for the second.  It will look lovely with your dress, and it will make you stand out even more.

ETA: Also, if it's the dress your ladies prefer, definitely go with it.  It's a big investment on their part to buy a dress they're unlikely to ever wear again.  Happy BMs make nice photos.

Although I love the 1st one I like the 2nd one best for your bridesmaids. Not a fan of brides and BM wearing similar styles.

I think the second will contrast better with your dress. If the bridesmaids prefer that one, then even better. 

I recommend deferring to the BM's when it comes to their dress.

If your bridesmaids, the ladies who love you and are paying for and wearing a dress for your wedding, like the second dress, the second dress wins hands down.

Bridesmaid dresses don't need to "match" the bride's dress except in formality. Both dresses are fine in that regard.

Thanks for all the input. The other issue with the second dress is that it doesn't come in my color. Maybe I need to forget both dresses and go in a different direction. I'm struggling with the neckline mostly. Anyone have a suggestion on a certain style of dress they think would compliment my dress nicely?

What color are you after and what's the price range you're looking at?  I think anything long and chiffon would look great with your dress.

Looking for a light aqua color. Would you think something with straps or strapless would be better?

I prefer the first one myself, but I wouldn't worry about BM dresses "matching" mine. If they like the second (and you do, too) let them choose that one.

I too like the second dress better. It's more beautiful imo and the first one matches your dress waaayy too much.

If you're ok with either, I would let your BMs pick since they'll be the ones wearing and buying it. I agree with others that I'm not a huge fan of the BMs wearing the same style of the bride. That's totally a personal opinion though - there's nothing wrong with doing it if that's what you like.

I would go with straps. I'm getting a pretty tuckered out on strapless dresses at this point, but I know that's a minority opinion.

If any of your bridesmaids have they type of breasts that require a supportive bra, dress #1 is out. I could never wear that. Even the lowest-backed low back corset bras would still show. Those adjusters that wrap around your waist to convert a regular bra are a joke. I would never go out without a bra, so I'd end up looking terrible with a bra strap across my back under the lace. Maybe this is one of the reasons your bridesmaids prefer the other dress?
