help! in search of affordable venues

Hi,
I am newly engaged and am in search of an affordable yet memorable venue. Food is something I would definitely spend most money on to ensure we have a great wedding. I have looked at a few places and the one I am falling in love with is the Palace. We were quoted with about 170 per person for aSaturday in march. Its just out of our budget as we would like to stay around 150-160 range. Any tips for negotiating?? Or any other reputable venues worth checking out? I know it'd be more in our price range to do a friday or sunday, but I have a lot of family flying in so it woukd be tough to do. Thanks !!!!!!

Where is the Palace? I'm not familiar with that venue. We had our reception at Brigalias in Sicklerville. You will very much be under your budget and you get a ton of stuff for the price. As for negotiating, if you tell the venue what price you can stay in, they may be able to remove certain items from their typical package to meet your budget. For example, you would not get an option for a beef, since that is usually a more expensive meat.
