I ordered a custom cake topper from an etsy seller in June, and she gave me an original delivery date of sept. 8th. Well, when I hadn't even seen any pictures of it (I was supposed to get a photo and approve it first) by september 8th, I emailed her expressing my concern. 2 days later, she got back to me telling me that her parents were having health problem, and that she would have it completed within 8 to 10 days. I was very understanding, and felt confident at that point that I would still get my topper. My bakery requested that I get the topper to them by October 3rd. That seems early, as the wedding isn't until the 18th, but that's what they said!! And I'm the kind of person who wants everything done way ahead of time anyway, so I didn't question it. So early last week, I emailed the etsy seller again telling her about my deadline, and she simply assured me that I would have it by October 3rd. Now that it's October 1st, and I still haven't seen any pictures or heard from her since early last week, I'm officially really annoyed!! I understand family comes before work often times, but I feel like she should at least be communicating better with me!! I paid her 85 dollars back in June when I placed the order!!! I'M BEYOND FRUSTRATED!!! I think I need to now consider other options.
