Hey! So I'm leaving for New Orleans tomorrow so I probably won't get to chat much tomorrow on here. I'm dying here at my office...I'm so ready to go home and pack.

After work I have to pick up a dining room chair that my dad has been repairing for us and have him look at my tires. It's about that time that I need to get 4 new tires on my 4Runner....UGH! That will wait until next month.

I'll go home and finish doing laundry and pack up Maddux's things to go stay with H's mom over the weekend. Hopefully he behaves...last weekend he got too rowdy and had to sit in his crate while MIL finished doing things.

Then I need to pack and go to CrossFit to get a pretty good work out in before I eat everything I see in New Orleans. I doubt I will get to much time to clean the bathrooms so those will wait until next week. Then H and I will go to bed at like 8:30 or 9:00 because we are starting our road trip to NO at 3:00a.m. COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE!!!!!!!!!

I have a rare weekend off work, so BF and I are going to try to go to a pumpkin patch and get pumpkins for my house, then we're going to start looking for Halloween costumes (we're very excited that we're going to a costume party this year), then he's cooking me dinner.

Sunday is lazy day and watch the Ravens game.

Have fun eating ALL THE FOOD in NOLA! My body is not at all back on a normal eating schedule yet. 

I hate car maintenance. I had finally gotten my Yaris in wonderful working condition, new brakes, new tires, fresh clean oil, current registration, and six weeks later I totaled it. That was the worst feeling ever. 

I've got a UH football game tonight (ugh) and tomorrow is lazy day, but I'm fairly certain I'll have to go into the office and work since I'm leaving early tonight. Saturday is apartment hunting (double ugh) followed by a youth family cook out, which looks like it's going to fail spectacularly. 

Sunday is work as usual. I have no volunteers signed up for our evening event and I've invited my supervisor to come and watch. I'm really hoping she sees what I'm up against and that I'm not just a whiny millennial.

I lost my whole morning to prepping for and sitting in a meeting; luckily my followup stuff can wait until next week so I have this afternoon and tomorrow to try desperately to catch up on my regular work. I'm planning on asking my boss if she'll approve some overtime for a particular project so I can bank the time for extra days off...otherwise I may have to take some unpaid time off next year and I'm not excited about that prospect!

Tonight I have to do laundry. So badly. FI has band practice at church tonight so I will be eating leftovers and doing laundry and watching bad TV and trying to finish addressing our STDs. Got about half of them done last night, I am very hopeful that I can get the rest of them done tonight!

So Dr. is having me in the hard cast another four weeks. So to cheer me up I tried a new wine yesterday. It was a chocolate wine moonshine mix, and D-E-LICIOUS! I guess the resort by me was trying to sell it at the bar, but no one was buying it so they have a ton of cases. I told them if they advertised chocolate wine, it would have sold, but now I have a case of it It is called Spodee.

audrewuh hope you're ok.  I totaled my car a few months ago, so understand that stress all too well.  Is it unrepairable totaled or just not worth repairing totaled?

I just got finished doing a presentation on a national conference call for my company. It was a bit nerve wracking but so much fun!  I really deserve a big cupcake or cake... and of course wine.

@Ms Sparky -I can't wait to go to the pumpkin patch and get some pumpkins. I would have gone already but I want them to last until Halloween so we will probably go next weekend when we get some time. I have lots of ideas for these pumpkins lol.

@audrewuh -I can only imagine what that felt like totaling your car after all that. UGH sometimes I hate cars and wish I didn't have to use one and that H and I could just survive with one.

@lmcooper86 -Yay for almost being done with your STDs!! Have you posted a picture of them yet?

@speakeasy14 -I tried chocolate wine once and I didn't like it that much but since you really like this kind I'm going to search for it! I want to like chocolate wine!!!

@southernpeach89 I'm so jealous of your NOLA trip! I hope you have lots of fun and eat lots and lots of beignets!!!

I'm supposed to be working today but I'm barely focused. I've sent out like three WR emails to the venue, florist, and the RD caterer. My mind is 100% on two weeks from today and all the things I need to do between now and then. Really less than two weeks...because I know I'm not going to have time to do much of anything once family comes in to town the Wednesday before the wedding. Tonight I'm going to attempt some sort of spaghetti squash bake...yum! Not really following a recipe...just throwing in stuff that sounds good together. Otherwise I desperately need to work on stuff around the house and in the yard. I wish I didn't get some so late from my job. I feel like in between cooking dinner, I have max 2 hours to even do anything else...and it's hard to be motivated to continue working hard after I've been working hard all day at my job.

@LaPeanut1018 -I feel the same way when I come home....after I cook dinner all I want to do is relax. I don't want to clean or anything lol. That's what I loved when I wasn't working..how much time I had to get stuff done!

I'm going to have to look up that Spodee, @speakeasy14! I didn't care for the last chocolate wine I had, but I love chocolate and wine so I want to like chocolate wine.

I'm just stupid excited today because my wedding dress came in yesterday! I'll be able to go try it on Tuesday and there will be photos!

And eventually there will be engagement photos, right? I think? Photographer is stringing me along with the teasers. I'm kidding, he's probably just really busy with work. The photography is his side business, but the main company he works for is expanding and I think everyone's hopping with that. FI might be going over there this weekend to work on their networking. Generally I'm trying for patience, which is not my strong suit.

ETF: Nouns are hard. Photographer, photography, we all know what I mean, right?

I don't usually like chocolate wine either; it tastes like fake chocolate.  But I think the moonshine helps give it a less fake taste.

@LaPeanut1018 - My best advice would be to set your deadline for getting everything finished 1 week before the wedding. There WILL be last minute things that pop up and it'll be a lot less crazy and stressful if all the other stuff is done. Try to come up with a manageable schedule for today through next Saturday. You can do this, you're almost there!!!!

H and I have a Devils pre-season game tonight but I'm still not feeling well so I think we're going to skip it and just watch on TV. 

Tomorrow night I'm going to spend the night re-organizing my closet, finally. 

Saturday it's supposed to rain here all day which will be PERFECT for a movie date to see Gone Girl. 

Sunday, H and I are going to the Eagles game

I'm home now after having 6 cavities filled. The dentist finished around noon, but they said I couldn't eat or drink until the numbness wore off. They told me it would last another hour or so... since I was hungry and tempted to eat, I just went to the nail salon to fill up that hour. Still numb, but my nails look great. Came home and did a little bit of work and decided to take a sick day because my mouth is all weird. I'm still really numb on my bottom lip. As in, I still can't feel myself touching my lip at all. I'm absolutely starving though, so I made a smoothie and am very carefully drinking it... I guess I'll just watch Netflix for the rest of the day and hope that once the numbness wears off I'm not super sore...

We went there for brunch on Monday morning. I had the eggs blackstone and it was PHENOMENAL. If you like bloody marys get one there too. Here's the menu: CLICK.

@Swazzle - Let me know how Gone Girl is. I kind of hated the book but I think it will work well as a movie, plus Ben Affleck is my favorite!

My uncle is in town so I'm going to dinner with him and BF tonight. I probably should be cleaning right now but I'm procrastinating on that.

I've been mildly complaining about FI lately, so I want to brag him up right now.

He has to take 1 day off a week for the rest of the calendar year, so he's taking 2 half-days every week. He texted me that he's at home right now doing laundry.

Which is exactly like "I love you" to me. Amazing how much that relaxed me.

I'm exhausted. Today was day one of inventory in my company's warehouse. It actually wasn't too bad, except for the fact that I was on my feet all day, which I'm not used to. After work, FI texted me to let me know he was going out for drink for a CW's birthday, so instead of going straight home like I was planning on, I heading to the gym to kill a little time. I got in my first workout since NOLA, so I'm proud of myself for that! Then I picked up a rotisserie chicken, and roasted up some broccoli at home to eat with it. 

FI should be home any minute now, and we might head up to the pub down the street to play some trivia and have a couple of drinks!

I've been MIA for this week mostly...nice to see everybody seems to be doing okay!

I spent today doing research--the next chapter of my dissertation is due 2 weeks from tomorrow, and I'm working literally every moment that I can.  But I'm actually ahead of where I thought I'd be, so I'm going to take this evening off and have a glass or two of wine and watch Netflix...I was nearly halfway through Season 9 of Criminal Minds, but they took it off to fix some audio glitches, so I've been watching Scandal instead...SO GOOD.  I don't watch TV except on Netflix, so I'm always binging on new shows.

I really want pizza for dinner, but I'm going to be good and make pork chops and brussels sprouts.  I've FINALLY started to see some progress on my weight loss, and I don't want to mess that up.  Even though I really want pizza.  Like really.  A lot.

@speakeasy14 - I went to buy (normal) wine after work…and found out that one of the brands of cider I like has introduced a Pumpkin Spice flavour for fall...

@audrewuh - I don't have Netflix at the moment; I couldn't justify paying for that when I already pay for a bunch of extra tv channels. And out of all of those channels I cannot find any good bad tv to watch! What the hell!

@eilis1228 - I know but if I think honeymoon would make me feel better about not getting paid! And I really hope she goes for it; my department is working on a project that's supposed to be in addition to our normal work, but not take priority over the normal work. It's turning out to be more time consuming than we expected, and I think it's something that she wants done relatively quickly, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks for all the kind wishes, everyone! Numbness wore off a couple of hours ago, and my mouth is pretty sore. I'm slowly making my way through chicken noodle soup and some crackers... I'm sure FI is amused at my attempts to chew lol. Hopefully tomorrow I'm back to normal!

@Hummingbird125 - good for you, going to the gym!!!  I know I would have wanted to go home and put my feet up after a long day doing inventory.

I dominated yesterday... I got everything on my to do list done yesterday PLUS some!!

@lmcooper86 did you try it?  I've made apple cider sangria, so I wonder if it tastes similar.
