It's rainy and yucky, I've caught DefConn's cold, and there could be a hitch in our closing (I don't even want to talk about it...we WILL close next week), but it's Friday!!!

My weekend is going to consist of packing.

Ugh, I hope you have no more closing stress.

6let is home with a fever today.  He's sad. I'm sad.  We're going to the store for more Tylenol and spending the rest of the day in front of the tv.  I'm PRAYING these storms don't delay/cancel DH coming home. 

I also need to get a brush for the cat.  She's too old to groom the hair along her spine an it's getting all matted.  I'm tired of buying things for the cat.  She's 16. Why won't the coyote eat her?

Max's new trick is to go get the peanut butter jar and a spoon and go to town.  I promise I have separate things for our family and what I serve guests.

I'm in a terrific mood - I got a good nights' sleep, had an excellent workout this morning that hurt, I'm baby shopping today (need a present for a 1st bday and a baby shower present), the annual girls' shopping trip is planned, and I found the specific craft item I have been looking for for nearly two weeks.  It truly is the little things.

I'm eh.  I think I'm firmly ensconced in a mid-life crisis.  Then, MeetUp sends me notice of a new group for women over 40 who are having a mid-life crisis, basically.  I thought it sounded interesting until I looked at it and I suspect it's a selling, read-our-blog type thing.  IDK, I'm suspicious.  And I'm not 40 just yet, so there.

We've got more work in the yards this weekend to get ready for winter.  Hopefully after this, we'll be mostly finished.  Last winter was so bad that we left everything alone this spring/summer to see what was going to make it and how.  Now we know and we have some cleaning to do.  Dinner with some friends Saturday night.  Maybe a game day Sunday night.

I'm looking forward to the end of this week.

Yep, it's a dreary one this morning. Good day for mood lighting and cranking up the space heater.

This weekend is going to be busy. Sat is Celebration of Cultures international festival. DD loves to dance and loves to watch dancers. There should be an abundance of other kiddie activities as well. Not too hot will be a big bonus.

Sunday is pro-football day for most of the day. We'll see how that goes. And somewhere we need to squeeze in errands :-/

After the post about the smoker, I really wish we had the time to do it this weekend.

I'm currently sitting at a coffee shop trying to work. I couldn't handle sitting in an isolated job trailer today. Yesterday was very rough.

And in a very frustrating turn of events H and I are at odds. I don't know how much of our situation is a culmination of things or just caused by the death of his grandmother but something will have to give. I'm just emotionally wrecked and feel a bit lost. I'm so thankful my boss is understanding at this point.

Conn, I keep pulling for you from here.

holiday tonight and tomorrow. Sunday will be a crafting/hanging out day with my girlfriend. I'm just so wiped out. The thought of anything makes me want to sleep.

Cheering up vibes for V and O, and healthy vibes for all the sick kiddos (and parents).

Tomorrow is soccer/mom's birthday/swim, and Sunday we're celebrating DS's birthday, since it falls on a Tuesday this year.  We're taking him to the children's museum and setting him loose in the toddler area.  I'm even bringing a change of clothes, so if he wants to go hog wild with water play (and he will), he can.  They also have a dinosaur exhibit there that's right up DD's alley, so we may split up for a bit.  Cake and presents and dinner, and then I almost have a toddler.  :O

It is looking like more and more I have to go to Philly at the end of the month for work and I am getting more and more irritated about it. I basically got passed over for a potential promotion because I'm stuck on this freaking project languishing and not using my abilities. It's making me irritated and frustrated each day. DH is being no help about it because he's like "no one loves their job every day!" Yeah, I get that but you could at least be a little sympathetic.

DS got in trouble yesterday for ganging up on one of the little girls at daycare. This little girl really really likes to "play" with DD and I guess this gets DS worked up. He needs to knock it off and I'm also annoyed that DH doesn't take it more seriously.

In happier news, my sister is booking her reception venue. It looks like July in San Fran for us. I also figured out that between dress shopping, bachelorette party, bridal shower, and the wedding we'll be traveling a ton next year.

Still closing on Tuesday, but not back to back.   One morning (current house) and one in the afternoon (new house).  

Totally screws my plans for cleaning the new house, but whatever.  It will all work out.
