I am making my cheddar bacon burgers from last night, TONIGHT. I went grocery shopping. It took me TWO. HOURS. and when I got home, I had sausage cheese balls to make. So I decided that it was going to be Fend For Yourself Night.

I have a birthday party for my 7 year old cousin Sunday, and I might drag FI along if I can convince him. I have to figure out what a normal 7yo boy would want. I don't get to see him much. I'm really kind of thinking a small chemistry kit though... if I can find one locally.

I got to sleep in since I only work a few hours Friday afternoons. FI woke me up with morning sex. Which means the rest of my day is golden.

When I get home I might binge watch the rest of the Walking Dead with FI and watch the new Transformers movie.

I should have this book on my doorstep when I get home. Has anyone ever read it? FI and I have sexy times already, but I heard good things about this book and figured I'd give it a shot. FI and I don't necessarily feel as though we need to improve our sex life, but I figure we can never stop getting better at doing the deed haha. 

And tomorrow we are going APPLE PICKING here, after I have my hair trial in the morning!

ETA: we are going to choose our own hardware to put on the cabinets. I don't think the silver vertical bar handle will look good on these? I don't like plain round knobs though.

I generally hate those plain bar handles. I'm an oil rubbed bronze kinda gal. Although anything is an improvement over my kitchen with no handles - I'm constantly breaking nails.

Hey Knotties!  Busy day at work today.  FPILs are coming over for dinner but I'm pretty sure I'll be at work for at least another hour or two, so Fi is on his own to cook and entertain.  I'm sure I will never hear the end of this from FPILs, especially FMIL.  Also I'm hungry and haven't yet totally figured out the firm rules for ordering dinner when working late, so hopefully I can awkwardly ask another associate about it.

 

I'm now starting to really worry that the awesome concert tickets my dad got me for my bday (my sister told him, she's the best) are going to go unused because they're next Friday at 8pm.    I feel like such an ungrateful little bitch but the minute I saw he got the Friday show instead of Saturday, I just thought, d'ohhhhh.

I'm going to hold out hope I will make it.  Accounting for an opening act, I don't need to get there right at 8.  It just stinks because if I try to wait it out and it turns out I bet wrong, they will go to waste or I'll have to have Fi just grab somebody else to take with him.

@pinkcow13 I don't get in super early.  Officially, attorneys are supposed to start at 9:30 but it depends what you're doing.  Nobody ever schedules meetings before 10.  Last summer I liked getting in between 9:00-9:15 because I'd have plenty of quiet time in the office before everyone else started rolling in.  The office is very quiet in the morning.

Today I got in around 9:10 and left at about 7:45.  I had the option to stay very late tonight or work tomorrow, so I chose to go home for dinner and work about 5 hours tomorrow.
