Who did engagement photos yesterday??

Skimming the board last night, it seems like a bunch of us had them taken yesterday!

My dogs got in a fight first thing yesterday morning over breakfast, and I got bitten on my calf breaking them up... So glad I had the tights!!

FI seemed to be in a mood/nervous as well, so my recommendation is to have sex before the photographer arrives to loosen things up ;-) 

The weather was gross and cold all morning, but the sun came out as I was leaving the salon an hour before our appointment!  It was beautiful the rest of the afternoon and the trees must be at or almost peak colors up here.

First we did photos at my in-laws property with the dogs, then we went down by the river without them.

Thanks so much for the outfit help everyone!!  This is what I ended up wearing:

The white shirt outfit with turquoise sneakers and then my tall brown boots:

And then I wore my dress with berry colored tights, switching between flats and boots:

The dogs were not very good for photos, but we'll see if the photographer caught anything good!

I like those tights better than the dark gray! You look grat and the dogs are adorable.

Yay! I love your outfits! FI and I were running late so we didn't have time to take pre-pics. I'm kinda nervous about ours. We had a great photographer, and he took us to some great spots, and he took some funky/creative pics. The weather was perfect, and gorgeous. We did not do an outfit change because our shot was in DUMBO, NY which is not close enough from where we live to have the photographer at our place, and have us travel after. We thought of maybe bringing a jacket or something to switch it up, but ended up not doing so.

I guess I'm just being picky and very critical of myself. We went to see my mom for her bday the day before and she made a comment about my weight, like she always does, and that stayed in my head the whole time. I got my hair done at the salon beforehand, and wore a shower cap when I showered at home. I didn't take it off for a while, and I feel that I ended up sweating too much and kinda messing up my hair. It got a bit big and frizzy at the top (I have naturally unruly curly hair). Then I felt self conscious about my outfit. I'm being totally ridiculous, and I realize that.  

Despite it all, we did end up having fun. We were both kinda nervous, but it was kinda cool, and a few other couples, including 2 brides, were taking their pics at the location. It's pretty popular for pics because of the skyline views. It started getting dark, so the photog suggested we take pics indoors drinking wine or something, which I loved. We passed by this funky Mexican sport with this cool mural out front, and opted for Margarita's, instead! Totally us. So it was fun and I hope we got some good pics out of it!

We took pics, and unfortunately our photographer kind of forgot about us and was surprised when we showed up at his studio.  He was more than willing to work with us though and immediately went and got his equipment and took us to his local park.  Our fur-baby was not too willing to work with us either, and like PP, i hope he was able to get some good shots with him.

I felt like the one outfit we got pictures in was very us, and im hoping i got some photos usable for STDs.  We only did one outfit thought due to timing and him kinda forgetting about the appointment.

@pinkcow13, My mother is the same way!  What is WRONG with their generation??

I showered before I went to the salon, but my hair was not cooperative, so it did not end up being curled the way I wanted.  There was a little wave, but not much I could do at that point!  I had my makeup done too because I have no idea how to do it myself, so I felt all fancy even with the wrong hairstyle.  I normally wear my hair curly/frizzy, so it was different anyway!

I had originally chosen 3 outfits, but left out the second shirt that was to go with the navy pants because I didn't want to change at the off-premises location either.

My FBIL is in town right now too, and is going overseas with the Navy at the end of the week for who knows how long, so I was able to have the photographer take a few pics of FI with his brother, so that was another nice thing about starting "at home"!

Yikes, that is awful!  A lot of times, especially with the dogs, the photographer was just *snap, snap, snap* a bunch at a time so hopefully we both get something usable!

He did that when Ralphie would actually sit down also.  I think he also got a side shot of me and ralphie fighting over his ball.  I'm kinda excited about that since he is my little 4-legged fur-baby and there arent many good pictures of me with him since im always taking them.

Seriously! I know that I gained some weight and I'm working on it, but geez do you need to point it out all the time?!

I wish I had taken the day off so that I could have showered beforehand. Argh! I think the shower cap also kinda messed up the curls I got at the salon. I did my eye make up myself, but I don't do anything crazy with it, just eyeliner, mascara, and some shadow. But then I ended up hating the shadow I chose and wished I went for something more natural (although I went very light with the shadow). It's so awesome that your FI got to take some pics with his brother, too. I would have loved to have a few with our kitties if we had chosen something closer to home.
