Ordering flowers online Sam's club or Costco, yes or no?

I am on a budget (as many of you are) and don't want to spend a crazy amount on flowers, I'd rather spend more on music/entertainment.  The reviews I've read on Sam's club sounds great and I have my eye on these pink/white floral arrangements.  $325 comes with Bridal Bouquet, 4 bridesmaid bouquers, toss away bouquet, 6 boutonnieres, 4 corsages, 1 box of petals, clippers.  Should I go for it, what are the pros and cons? Has anyone else bought flowers online for their big day?

1) Has anyone quoted prices they found online or from other florists to get prices down with their local florist? If so, did you get that much of a discount?
2) Haven't picked color theme yet for a beach wedding in Naples, FL, if I get pink/white flowers what do you think would look best with bridesmaid dresses, etc.

Thanks all!

I think a very light green or blue would look really pretty with the beach and the pink/white flowers.

I've heard good things about flowers from Sam's and Costco. That looks like a really good price.
  • Thanks wrigleyville. I was thinking myself a light mint green color. It also looks nice on the men with a mint tie and light tan suit.  I just did a search on theknot for Sam's club and I'm seeing pretty good reviews.
  • I used my local grocery store, Kroger, to purchase my flowers. It was cheaper than Sam's Club for me. GL! :)

  • I ordered hydrangeas from Sam's Club. They were great!

  • My flowers were from Costco and turned out great. No one could come close to them in price ($229 for 10 pieces in calla lilies: 1 Bridal bouquet, 2 Brides Maid bouquet, 2 Corsages, 4 Attendant boutonniere, and 1 petite bouquet) and they were fresh and beautiful. My only downside was that I wanted the bouquets wrapped in orange ribbon and they didn't offer that as an option, so I re-wrapped the bouquets before the wedding. That and if money were no option and I could have had whatever I wanted regardless of season or price, I would have preferred to have white lilacs over calla lilies, but that wasn't an option there (though, in reality, it wasn't an option anywhere else I found either). No big deal on either count and I would totally go with them again.
  • My friend ordered her wedding flowers from Sam's Club. The roses for the centerpieces and her bouquet looked beautiful. The boutonnieres and mothers' corsages were lovely. The bridesmaid bouquets were kind of sad and pathetic.

  • I was in the same pickle as you.  I had to do everything cheap and on a budget.  I was really nervous about ordering from online, so I actually went to my local whole foods and they made BEAUTIFUL arrangements for me, and they were SUPER cheap.  I think for everything it was $300! The catch was, my fiance did have to pick them up for me that morning and we had to make sure they could get dropped off without him seeing me! We also didn't do flowers for the groomsmen, my fiance didn't want flowers on the dudes.  Below are pics from my wedding so you can see how they came out. Very beautiful I thought!

And ... love the idea of mint dresses! Would be perfect with pink and a beachy wedding.

  • I got my flowers from a grocery store in Texas - HEB as we married in Austin area. Have you considered Publix?
