Our wedding is next Saturday, 10/25. Eeeeeeee! We are leaving Sunday to drive up from Louisiana to Ohio (where our wedding is), so I'm trying to get everything done/packed/house cleaned before we leave on Sunday.
Of course with everything that needs to be done, FI decided that last night was the night to rearrange our whole bedroom, which we haven't touched since we moved here 10 months ago. So we ended up doing that instead of working on centerpieces...
But centerpieces are mostly done. Balances are all paid (except for the caterer and rehearsal dinner, which are due at the time of the event). Bridal party gifts are all bought. I still need to find an adhesive bra to go under my dress, we need to print the programs and fold them into paper airplanes, and I need to finish the freakin' votives. I am decoupaging them and sprinkling glitter on....the decoupage and I are not getting along so great. I think I've been putting too much on because it's runny...and I have 4 out of 35 done. UGH. They just take so long because you have to let each coat dry for an hour. OH, and I still need to do our escort cards. Gahhhhhhh.
We are making our favors (candy buckeyes) when we get to Ohio next week, but that should only take one day.
FI and I decided last night that instead of the usual unity candle or sand ceremony, we want to do the tree planting ceremony! FI liked that idea much better and I like the idea of having a tree to plant at our first home. For now we will probably plant it at my grandmother's house in Columbus and then uproot it when we move to our first house. If that's possible...I don't know that much about trees, but FI says it is. I decided on a redbud tree because those were my dad's favorite, so it's kind of a way to honor him at our ceremony as well. Now I am on the hunt for a redbud sapling!
Wish me luck that I will be able to get everything accomplished in the next 2.5 days!!
