Hair Comb Pictures

I've fallen in love with a hair comb similar to this one, but the shape is a bit unusual to use in an updo. I'm leaning towards a hairstyle similar to the ones in the pictures below. Any thoughts on whether this could work?

I think it would work fine...I would tuck it in the top of the 'do. Right in the center
