I want my sister to sing at my wedding during the ceremony. She's agreed to, but she's also my maid of honor and I'm still trying to figure out how to work it out so that she can still walk with the bridesmaids and sing while I'm walking down the aisle. I don't want to, but I'm thinking I may have to do away with her singing. Any ideas?

Is she singing for the whole processional, or just when you come down the aisle?

If the whole processional, just have her sing up front and when everyone is down the aisle, she stops singing and moves into position. 

If just while you're walking, she can process with the other BMs, walk over the mic and start singing before you start walking.

I think you may be overthinking this.

Been gone for awhile since getting married but she will already be down there even before you start walking down the aisle. Have the microphone or whatever waiting for her at the end of the aisle and have her start singing right when she gets to her spot. Easy to do both.

Is this an issue because there's a choir loft or something in the back that you imagine she'd be singing from? If so, see if you can't get a mic set up in the front so that you can do as PPs have suggested.

It sounds like you'd like her to sing while your processing? Or while the bridesmaids process (it's often 2 different songs). Last summer I was a MOH and I sung at the ceremony during the signing - so you could always fit her singing in somewhere else. OR - like PP's said - just have a mic ready and she walks to the mic after she processes. If you want her to sing while the other bridesmaids are processing, she'll just have to come out earlier and join the party when she's finished.
