man pampering

Fi has hinted that he would like a shaving brush and stand for Christmas, so I bought them for him. I feel like it's not enough, though (FI wouldn't say that, but he always goes way over the top on gifts for me and I feel some pressure to keep up) so I want to pick up some other stuff and put together a little gift basket of "pampering" type stuff, but I don't even know where to start.

So, what are some personal products your man likes? Any suggestions?

FI is really hard to shop for so I will gladly take any ideas you ladies have.

Re: man pampering

  • Have you checked out The Art of Shaving? I would go there and get him some stuff. Does he lIke hair products? Skin care products? My FI jokes about how metrosexual he is, so I can give you a good list of products depending on what he likes.

  • +1 to the Art of Shaving place. I have no idea what 90% of that stuff is for, but the dudes seem to like it.

FI has really sensitive skin so he doesn't use a ton of products. What he does like is this Zirh stuff, though.
  • Candy/sweets.

I always get FI manly bubble bath from Bath and Body for his 1 time a year he takes a manly bubble bath. Also, I'm pretty sure he doesn't use his, but uses mine.

If he likes cigars, add some fancy ones!

    Fancy liquor.

Well my FBIL wants one of these and a razor and brush stand for Christmas. So he might like something like that. A bit expensive for what it is though.

DH likes this hand salve, but I wouldn't call him the pampering type.

  • I did a shaving kit with brush for FI last Christmas, it came with a bowl and and also ordered some beer soap off Etsy to go along with it.

Kiehls also has some good skincare stuff for men.
  • These are some pampering/manscaping things my H uses:

special shampoo and conditioner that has tea tree oil in it. It makes his scalp tingly and he likes that.
A really neat nose/ear hair trimmer
    After shaving skin balm
A pumice stone - he actually loves to use that on his heels.
  • Kiehls products of any kind. Every guy I know seems to be obsessed with them. It's all in pleasantly masculine packaging too.

  • I got FI some "beard conditioner" from Etsy last Christmas and he's obsessed with it. It smells amazing (and very manly). Sounds like your FI does not have a beard though lol.

Besides what PPs have suggested, I would also recommend the basic winter survival stuff, like a good hand cream and chapstick!

  • The Art of Shaving and Jack Black both have awesome shaving stuff (My FI loves the Beard Lube)

  • Pine Tar Soap + Suavecito hair pomade. Makes H smell all manly and delicious, plus makes his beard super soft!

  • Shaving cream? V likes Dove's Clean scented soap, he says it never irtates his skin. If I was going to pamper V I would buy him office supplies.

  • @novella1186 My husband has a beard and would probably love that!!! Right no he just uses our crappy sauve shampoo on it. He did steal my round brush though and brushes it every day which is pretty funny.

  • My FI has really sensitive skin and has really enjoyed using a safety razor. He tried a few different soaps before settling on Taylor of Old Bond Street Avocado Shave Cream. It doesn't have much of a scent and leaves his skin really soft.
