Chit Chat

Someone made a song about my 20s.

Kidding! Once I read the lyrics, I was like, "Oh, I didn't go to sex clubs." But holy jeez. This just totally makes me think of being young and trying to get over my ex.

Can we embed videos? I have no idea. Dur. Anyway, it's Habits by Tove Lo. This song has been stuck in my head for DAYS. It's haunting.

  • I like this song. It IS haunting. I went to a sex club once in my 20's. Not to partake in the swinging activities, just to scope it out, out of curiosity.

  • I will admit, I've always been curious about sex clubs. I don't know that I'd be brave enough to go though!

As a woman who got married at 33, THIS is my theme song:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZdwUUvdGio

Me too! It's funny how songs have a way of dredging up memories. I was a hot mess at times. when Lady Gaga's song Just Dance first came out, I had two different people tell me it reminded them of me. Um, thanks? It was funny but a little sad, too. Like, damn I gotta get my shit together!

Whenever I hear Poker Face by Lady Gaga I'm reminded of the time I drunkenly made out with a complete stranger at a club while on Spring Break at the beach. I never even saw his face but I remember that song was playing in the background, and I *think* his name was Dave. Oh, college. Haha

If there was a song written about my twenties, I would choose Jenny Owen Youngs' Fuck was I. Because, as the chorus asks, what the fuck was I thinking?

    This is so perfect.

There's one right across the street from my job. I only knew what it was because of the SATC book. Anyways, it is extremely discreet, the gate is always shut. One evening after Happy Hour, this was right around Halloween weekend, my coworker and I were walking home and we saw that it was open. There was some sort of Halloween Party going on.

We kinda strolled in, the (creepy) guy at the door offered us drink tickets (strongest margarita I ever had in my life), and we just tried to fit in lol. People were just walking around and mingling. We ended up leaving before anything happened, and the place smelled horrible, but it was quite a story to tell lol. We met some interesting people that night.

  • My twenties aren't over, so I can't pick a song that defines them. But if we're talking songs stuck in our head, this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-M1AtrxztU
