Makeup plan

Just trying to get a listing, and I'm wondering if I'm missing anything

ELF face primer - hydration version.
Urban Decay eye primer - my go to.

Revlon Photoready - I have used this before and I don't break out. I mix it with a facial lotion to lighten the color for me.
ELF concealer - light and dark for minor contouring which I can do right, not Pintrest drag queen version.
Urban Decay Setting Spray - I love this.

A pale pinky peach blush - MAC mostly, it's a mix of several colors.
No bronzer - I look a hot mess, plus every cosmetic seller has told me to avoid it.

Eye shadow - probably my light gray set from MAC. Maybe my standard smoky eye look.
ELF eye setting powder - increases light near my eyes, pictures show far less dark circles with it.
Liner - I love my Ulta cheap pencil. Mid gray or black.
Liquid liner - ELF in navy or black. I love this more than Urban Decay. ELF tight lines better.
Mascara - I currently love my Rimmel curl enhancing, use one coat regular, one or two waterproof. Stays put until I was my face, but isn't a diabolical bitch to get off.
False lashes.

Clear mascara for eyebrow taming.

Lip liner - aka exact match concealer pencil.
Revlon Just Bitten - Crush if I stay light eyes, Honey if I go dark.

Re: Makeup plan

  • It looks quite complete to me!

The only thing I might add is:
    -  Setting powder for your face (I know you're using the setting spray, but I find that setting powder applied before the spray is helpful for combination and oily skin)
    - Make sure your liner and liquid liner are waterproof
    - You may want to use a brow mousse/pencil/or eyeshadow to fill in sparse areas a little and further define your brows)
  • I haven't found a setting powder that I a) like and b) more importantly doesn't look six ways of crap in photos for me. I've done reenactments in August heat with Photoready and setting spray and it's held up all day perfectly with no smudges. I'm prone to dry-normal skin, which is why Photoready works for me, it's too slick for a lot of people apparently.

My liners are always waterproof. They stay that way. Plus I've got a liner sealer I can use, I just seldom bother. But I'll be sure to pack it for Friday, thanks for the waterproof reminder or I'd have left it at home.

Hah, I need LESS eyebrows, not more. Thus the mascara to make them behave. I have a pencil for them somewhere but yeah.

And just noticed, I didn't include my under eye concealer. That's MAC, ELF is too lightweight for me.

I keep thinking it's a crap ton of makeup. But it's my basic colors, just better staying power and photographs better than my usual (Meow - mineral makeup always photographs bad on me).
  • Did you do a run through? I'd love to see pics!
  • I have, but didn't bother saving pictures. This is all my normal look, got plenty of pictures.

Did get my nails done today..... My nails are permanently stained from my dark polish love, so bridal French manicure or sheer was never going to work.
