Problem deleting photos from a post

I've been trying to delete photos I've attached to a post.  I open the post to edit and select delete on the pic I want to delete, it asks me if I'm sure, I click Okay.  Then it just immediately shows "whooops, there's been an error" or something to that effect on the bottom left of my screen, and it just keeps acting like it's doing something and it just stays that way until I have to exit out of it completely.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
