Masterpiece Deposit

After all the reviews how can I not go with MC? They sound amazing! Did anyone do a tasting before and/or know how much of a deposit they require? How long did they need to set up in your suite? Thanks for all the reviews they are so helpful!!

Call Scott - They are ah-mazing! I did not do a taste test and I am a hard NYC/NJ girl to please and they DID not disappoint! All of my guest loved, loved the food. They require 1/2 for the deposit. My recep was at 6 and they got there @ 3:30 but, I had a ton of food and stations. Please if you have any questions you can inbox me. I can't say enough about how great everything was from them, I got the bar package and bartenders too. I would be happy to share anything you need help w/ :^)

I was pretty disappointed the last time I looked at Masterpiece's website.  It appears that if you are having something small, it's going to cost a lot more as they charge a 30 person minimum if you aren't using their servers.  This is what will make us go with someone else despite the reviews.

Yea, on their website for the drop off with no servers it says a 30 person minimum.

Ohhhhh,Oh. I still say try talking with him. All About Catering is good too, they may do a smaller party. What hotel suite are you doing your recp at? Cause w/ a small party it maybe worth it to just get it from the hotel your staying at?

We will be at Aria, and I believe their catering is pretty pricey.  We are also looking into Goodnight Gracie catering.  

We have to have some kind of light apps because our ceremony is at 2 and dinner isn't until 5:30.  We will have cake at this time too.   In hindsight, I'm really not sure why we planned it this way, but it does give us time for pictures.

Ceremony in-suite, then apps/cocktails/cake in suite.  We will slip away for a bit to get some pictures.  Reconvene with the group and finish up the cocktail/app time, then dinner at Wicked Spoon.

Oh! That's perfect! Sounds like it's gonna be great! Where ya getting the cake from? Now that my wedding is over all I wanna do is hear about others! LOL It went to fast. :^)

We ended up going with Drago Sisters for the cake and Pam from the Palette for the flowers.  

We emailed Masterpiece last night, and it looks like, that even with their 30 person minimum, they may still be the cheapest option.  We will have to see after we put the menu together that we want.
