Taking pics in front of Bellagio Fountains post wedding questions

So I am curious, the friend who is taking our photos after the wedding said I should find out if we need permission to take photos outside the bellagio by the fountains but on the Strip. Is that necessary? I thought a ton of people did that in their wedding attire??

No, it's not a problem. You are right, people do this all the time. You can even get married by the Bellagio fountains for free if you like. :)
  • Thank you so much for letting me know!

  • You are fine as long as you are on the strip.   However, you cannot be on their property unless you  get a note from security.  We had our wedding at Paris and in Suite reception at Bellagio.  We got dressed in the suite and then headed outside to do our photos prior to the wedding.  <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

In the rush, I left the note from security upstairs.  We tried to do our first look by the fountains and Security wouldn’t let us because we weren’t using the Bellagio in-house photographer.

  • @destinationtake2 How would I go about doing that? Just do it? There is no permit or anything?

Well, now I am not so sure how it works. While a ceremony can be done on the sidewalk, it sounds like taking pics of/during a ceremony there is challenging. An officiant that we considered suggested it as a free location and that was all my original post in this thread was based on. The other downside is that it can be noisy and crowded.

Our photographer suggested we go over there for pics but we didn't try because I wanted to focus on spots within our hotel. @thegreens15

  • We took a few in front of the fountains but were quickly told to leave.  You can actually be on the sidewalk, but not in the little circle "inlet" spaces.
