My fiancé & I had booked this venue last year. It is a beautiful and gorgeous facility!! We had planned on doing an outdoor ceremony right on the lake. They have the grounds beautifully landscaped and the ceremony would have looked amazing at dusk. Unfortunately, I had lost my job and we needed to come up with an alternate plan for our wedding. We had to change the venue to accommodate a smaller budget. We were informed that we would lose our deposit unless we could get someone else to book for the same date and same package. If you chose to upgrade the package, that is fine, but you couldn't down grade because they then consider that a loss. I don't understand how- if they book the date, isn't something better then nothing??!!!
We left a $1,000 deposit and are willing to negotiate with you. We are only asking for $875 in return. YOU will still have a $1,000 deposit with Windows, but it will only cost you $875. They have a minimum guarantee of 140 people but the room is able to hold about 250 people!
The place is just phenomenal and words and pictures really don’t give this place justice!! It’s very sad for us that we cannot utilize this facility and wish that someone else will be able to enjoy the true beauty of Windows on the Lake for their special day!!
