Happy Election Day, go vote!

A friendly reminder from a political junkie.... Voting makes you sexy.  Voting makes you cool.

My polling place was more crowded than I've ever seen it this morning, which is a little odd since our big races aren't very competitive and they weren't predicting good turn out.  But I cast my ballot before heading to work this morning and got my snazzy voting sticker.  Did you get yours?

Re: Happy Election Day, go vote!

  • I have to go after work, so I got here super early today (I work flex hours, so I can get in at 6 am and leave at 2:30).

As the daughter of a political strategist, I am obligated to tell everyone to GO VOTE or my dad might disown me :)

  • H and I are voting as soon as I get home from work.
  • I'm in GA, so we have big races (governor and senate), and we voted last week.  Hooray for early voting!!

  • I voted! I am a lobbyist so this is my bread and butter. Plus IL has some huge races.

  • I voted! I always prefer to vote before work. But my town doesn't give out the "I voted" stickers which makes me sad. But we close on our new house on Friday so hopefully our new town will give out "I voted" stickers!
  • @climbingbrideny I so wish I could vote in Rockland still, I feel very strongly about the congressional election there.

My polling place in NYC didn't have stickers today.  I'm not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed.

The congressional election is so important! I live in New City, but technically we're in the East Ramapo disctrict, so yeah. You know...

I went to high school with Chris Day.  He was my main rival in Model Congress so it's hilarious to me that he's running for actual congress!  I actually interned for Nita Lowey in college, love her!

    Wow!! How interesting!

I went to camp with David Carlucci.
  • Well then I was sexy last week cuz II voted absentee. I am now sitting in same day surgery waiting room while dh has a colonoscopy. He was a cranky but this morning, pun intended. My phone would not let put 2 s' s after an a or an extra t on but. Stupid auto correct

Haha he was my boss when I interned for Eliot Engel!  And he went to high school with my older brother at North!  Too funny!

  • I voted on my way to work this morning. The NC campaigning has been out of control if you haven't heard.

  • Happy "end of mean, nasty attack ads" day!

Seriously, I am so effing done with the misleading attack ads, both parties. It's been brutal in Illinois.

Anybody watch Sleepy Hollow? In last night's episode Crane was going on and on about low voter turnout and Abby pointed out that in his day, slaves, women, and non-property owners couldn't even vote at all. Boom.

  • I voted this morning. My polling place is right across the street from my public transportation station. I just voted and crossed the street to get on my train to work.
  • I voted! I'm sad because I didn't get a sticker either. When I asked, they told me they have never had stickers (this is my first time at this location because we moved) but I was the second person who had asked. Hopefully they will have them next time!

  • I've voted in every election, in every county/city I've lived in since I was 18 (I'm 34) and I have never gotten one of those dang stickers! Oh well. I voted last week; not that my vote will make much of a difference being in Texas and I'm more on the blue side than the red side.
  • I early voted already. I was sexy before y'all were.
  • I voted earlier today. I love election day and politics in general, so I'm always so pumped. Though I was disappointed at how poor the voter turnout was in my town.

FH proposed one year ago today so now we're going out to a movie and dinner for fun. Today is extra fun for me now!

  • I was feeling lazy today and wasn't going to vote. We moved a few months ago and I didn't update my address, so my polling place was kind of inconvenient. Also, as a liberal in a conservative state, I sometimes feel discourage about voting But I'm proud to say that I sucked it up and went at lunch today to vote. "Merica!
