Veil Help

Hello everyone! I ordered my veil and it arrived in the mail the other day. It's beautiful. I love it. No problem there. Just need opinions on something. I bought a mantilla veil and they are traditionally worn on the top of the head. It's chapel length (which is the length I want) but as something special for my mother I want to wear it over my face now. (she really wants this, and it's her only request)... It costs too much to return the veil and buy a longer one sooooo.... Should I wear it over my face and it will just be a "floor" or "ankle" length veil or should I get a small blusher to go in front. Attaching pictures for reference:

This is the veil I bought:

Should I do something like this? (which will make the veil only fall to about my ankles)

Cathedral Lace Wedding Veil with Blusher by UrbanVeilsCouture, $235.00

or something like this? (which will keep the length.. I'm just not sure if this looks alright and how it's attached? two veils?)

Thanks for the feedback in advance!

Where did you get your veil from?  Would it be possible to see if you can get a separate blusher made?  That would probably be my first choice.  Mainly because the blusher would match your veil.

My next choice would be to just pull the veil up over my face and lose some of the length.

My last choice would be to add a plain tulle blusher.

  • Thanks @Maggie0829 I didn't even think to ask if she could make a blusher for it. I wonder if it would look ok with the lace coming up and framing my face and then having the blusher as well though. I'll have to think on that one! I bought the veil on Etsy so I'm sure I could ask about it.

I think it would look fine.  Here is a pick of a mantilla veil with an added blusher with lace edging to give you an idea.

And your lace is a lot more delicate then the one pictured so it shouldn't be overwhelming.

  • Oh thanks so much! That might be the best option! <3
