Pet peeve- stop fucking with my technology

If all the people in my life who think they're good with technology and shit could stop pestering me to let them fuck with my phone computer internet etc. that would be great.  

My MOH started dating this new dude who works in IT.  FI and I couldn't figure out how to change the username and password for our wifi, so we left it as the factory default.  We had no issue with that, yeah our password was long with a bunch of numbers but all our devices save it anyway so we only ever had to type it once per device.  IT dude got really overenthusiastic about helping us with our wifi, changing the password and making it faster (IT ALREADY WORKED FINE.) and I guess my MOH wanted to show off his skills or some shit because she was RELENTLESS with texts about "Oh dude can fix your wifi, he'll fix your wifi next time I bring him over, etc" DAILY.  Every single time I responded with something along the lines of "Our wifi works fine"  "OH BUT HE CAN MAKE IT FASTER TOO"  "It's plenty fast!"

Well, he shows up with his laptop and ethernet cable and gets right to fucking work even though at no point during any conversation did I say anything other than "Our wifi works FINE."  So I give in, because they were both SO ADAMANT about fixing my wifi that already fucking worked, and I guess changing the username and password can't really fuck anything up, right?  WRONG.

Our Wii no longer connects to the internet so I can no longer stream anything on our TV.  We don't have a dvd player or cable either.  IT WORKED FUCKING FINE BEFORE THIS SHIT.  He also said like 3 times during the process that our internet is now "Twice as fast" as it was a minute ago, which it totally isn't.  Now I have no fucking clue what settings he changed (and clearly he changed a lot to "double the speed" 3 times), or how he changed them, so I can't even do anything about it on my own.    It still works on my laptop, but the whole fucking point of me paying for cable internet was so I could stream shit on the TV- I can't have people crowd around my fucking laptop to watch movies.  

I'm just pissed because if they had listened to me any of the 50 times I said everything worked FINE I'd be able to have netflix on the TV still.  But no, I'm not an IT person, what do I know.

I hate when people "fix" shit like that. Makes me so ragey. IT "upgraded" to OS on my work computer a few weeks ago and now nothing fucking works right. Thanks for the help, guys.

Like, this totally isn't the same, but recently-ish I went bowling and I was having a lot of fun UNTIL my friend's bf decided to swoop in and help me get "better". He's all "stand like this", "move your arm like that" and it just wasn't fucking fun anymore. I don't give a shit if I'm a good bowler, and at least I was a FUN bowler. Now I suck and it's not fun.

That would be super annoying. I hate crap like that! My dad is one of those people who's an "expert" on everything and he's a fun ruiner for sure. He doesn't seem to get that I'd rather do it wrong and enjoy it than be lectured and criticized.

My FI is like that     He likes to do all these crazy things with his computer and put stuff on servers etc and so he goes and messes with my laptop and then made it so it wouldn't connect to wifi, and then I couldn't get to my iTunes, etc and then he gets frustrated at my computer.  I'm hello dude YOU caused the problems!!!

@HaileyDancingbear have you called him and told him to FIX. THAT. SHIT. yet? I would be furious. If you're gonna dick around, then you have to change all the saved passwords on ALL the devices, and you'd better test them to make sure they work before you bounce.

FI is a huge tinkerer, but he doesn't leave anything jacked up, ever. And he'd never just pop on someone else's computer without asking first.

@katienbkln I don't want him touching my stuff again.  The password works fine, but he managed to change some magical setting somewhere that makes the entire wifi network completely invisible to the wii.  We can't even get it to recognize that their is wifi nearby after he made those changes.

I'm worried that if I ask him to fix it it'll just get even more screwed up, and him coming over to screw up the wifi more will just become a regular thing.
