I swear, when shit rains, it pours, and I've had nothing but bad news for weeks now. To top it all off, I just got a "thanks, but no thanks" letter from a school I had accepted an assistant coaching job from. I was supposed to start next week. Apparently they decided to "go in another direction" when they got a last minute application from someone with more experience. Oh, and they forgot to tell me.
It was just for fun, but I was really excited about it and told everyone I knew. I made my holiday plans around it. An now, it's gone, and I'm way more devistated than I probably should be.
Re: Need good vibes
I'm bummed because of timing. If I had known this weeks ago, I wouldn't have turned down the other school that offered me the position. Instead, I posted their position on my triathlon club's webpage, which I'm guessing lead to a few inquiries. I did e-mail them though, just in case.
This was supposed to me the start of my "find your passion" project. I don't really have anything that gets me fired up, and I wanted to find something I loved. I tried fostering a puppy, that was a disaster. So, I figured I used to love competetive swimming, his was my way to get back into it on a different level.
