Tattoo placement spinoff - show them off?

I mean, if you want. I really just love mine. I love seeing y'all's beautiful selves, and your tattoos are a part of that beautiful self.

(If you don't wanna that's cool too. I guess I just really wanted to show mine off because I don't get nearly enough opportunities to.)

Here's my arms (the close up the tattoo artist took right when he finished so it's not quite that bright anymore). Yes that's my area code. 

My ankle one is directly on the ankle bone as the sun so it sticks out with cool dimension. Hurt like a mother fucker lol. 

I can't seem to find one right now of my tramp stamp or my ribs- my ribs is just 3 small hearts and inside each one is the initial of my mom, my dad, my brother.

Vatican City coat of arms, done by Josh Dix when he was still at Body Creations in Rochester. 2009. Right after I got home, washed it immediately post pic.

Awkward angle because it's almost on my ass. Modified Medici family emblem. Josh Dix 2009

Giglio emblem (Florence's city symbol). One of Josh's first tattoos he did as an apprentice. I gotta get him to fix it up soon.

The other one I have is difficult to get a picture of and I'm designing a cover up for it anyway. Japanese characters (from when I was working a a museum doing translation, so yes I know what it says lol).

I have two tattoos. I recently got the milkshake on my inner arm and the HK is on my inner ankle. I plan on getting more after the wedding when I have more money to spend on frivolous stuff.

I like old school style tattoos so a half sleeve could be in my future.

@beethery those are gorgeous! I love the Giglio emblem! And yeah, the only languages I might use for a tattoo are the ones I speak, so I'm limited to English and French haha. 

@jenna8984 I love the ankle. I don't think I could do that. My ankles are super ticklish so I don't think that's an option, haha. 

@smichek I like the idea! My "Imagine" is one I share with my mom (whose handwriting it is) and my siblings. I know it sounds weird, but the physical reminder of my mom and knowing that my brother and sisters have it too feels like a physical connection when they aren't there. Not sure I'd choose the browning symbol BUT I have the Deathly Hallows. So to each their own.

Aww thanks!  I got it after a rough patch in my life, and my thought behind it was I wanted something permanent on me that I could look at and remember "there is always good in life".

The thing is, I see browning symbols everywhere here, so it doesn't come across quite as strongly country as the camo does to me, haha. Camo is a very country thing to me - browning symbols not so much.

Well, I mean, I could tattoo camo patterns on myself. But then my husband would never find me. Then again, I would kick major ass at hide and go seek...

At the time when I got the japanese one I could understand it written fairly well. I was biiiiiiiiiiig into languages at the time. I have the english and japanese versions of the novel so I found the part I wanted in the original version and got those couple of lines on the lower left side of my back. That book was really good at making you feel the desolate looooonliness of the area the main character was in, and I'd been in that mindset for a while so it made sense at the time.

I have 6, and I'm willing/able to show pictures of 2 of them, haha. 2 are in a place that would be most highly inappropriate for a not-porn website, and 2 are super old and shitty and faded (and one of these is on my back, so I'm not even sure HOW to take a picture of that one). I got all but 1 of them when I was 18, and they desperately need a really overdue touch-up. Anyway, here you go:

Sirius was my favorite Marauder, so I was lucky that his handwriting occurs pretty regularly in the books.

I NEVER. NOT EVER. trust descriptions placed by a person wanting to sell the book. Cover copy, descriptions on websites, most paid reviews. Normal-people reviews and recommendations are my life with books. I'll try to get it for my Nook for our Christmas trip.
