Got home from shopping with my sister and BF wanted to know what I got for myself (and more importantly him - I got him a sweater)

"I got a new pair of boots for winter, and a new cardigan."

"What card did you need to get again??" 

He was serious.

I'm going wedding dress shopping soon, so I asked FI what he does and doesn't like. He said he doesn't like anything "too big on top"... turns out, in FI code, that means sleeves.

This weekend SO and I watched Maleficent for the first time. Got everything ready and right before I hit play he just randomly says "I'm so excited to find out if the things on her head are horns or just a hat"

My FI said he didn't understand what "basic" meant in pop culture, and then said "I think it's good to be basic, sometimes!"

I laughed so hard, and texted my cousin/MOH who texted him back "you're such a basic betch"
