Another makeup post-anyone buy anything at the VIB sale?!

So I gave in and went to Sephora this weekend. It was a madhouse! I tried to be good and only stick to things I needed/was running out of while still trying things I've never tried. Ended up getting:

Bobbi Brown Corrector (tried it for 2 days now and it's magical!)
Stila Waterproof Liquid Liner
Bite Beauty Best of Bite set
Tarte Park Avenue Princess Matte Bronzer

Anyone else buy anything? Not that I need any more excuses to spend money on makeup...

I am going on my lunch break today.  Not that I need any more makeup, but I love it!  I'm going to pick up a few more Bite Beauty matte lip crayons, a couple NARS Audacious lipsticks, the Hourglass Ambient Blush palette, a couple Make Up Forever Aqua Cream eyeshadows and the new Liner box.

How did I not get the invite in the mail?! They're usually quite good about that. I got a sample of the boscia bb cream and I'm in love. I also need some water proof liner, do you suggest Stila's? I usually use Clinique's cream liner.

@shannonmaya do you want a pencil, liquid or gel waterproof liner?  Color or black?

I used the online code because there was NO WAY I was braving Sephora on a Saturday during an event. 

I got the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette and their All-Nighter setting spray, a new bottle of my perfume (Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Abricot), and then I used some points for the Urban Decay 500-point reward and the Smashbox 500-point reward.

@lacqueredlover-I'm so far loving the bite beauty lip products I got! They really stay put.

@shannonmaya- I didn't get any notice either! Found out about it randomly online. So far I like the Stila one, it hasn't smudged or anything. I will say that the application takes a bit of practice (I have a bit of a shaky hand).

@amelisha- good call on not braving the crowds, it was insane! I got the Smashbox 500-point reward but I'm kinda underwhelmed by it

lacqueredlover I'm thinking to stick with what I know and either the gel/cream (whatever clinique calls it). Black. I haven't even checked if clinique makes one, which would be an easy google search...I need more coffee.

@shannonmaya I am a HUGE fan of the Urban Decay 24/7 liners.  they apply like a cream but wear like iron!

@lovegood90 I have 2 of their lip products that Sephora had sent me to review when I first started working with them, I really like it!  I am usually a die hard MAC matte lipstick girl (they just wear so well on me and with my pro discount they are under $10 a piece) but I want to try more of the Bite!

If you like the stila one, next time try the smashbox liquid liner. It's even more precise and a bit more matte!

Please educate me! I don't wear as much makeup as I used to and I've only ever bought some Makeup Forever HD foundation from Sephora years ago. I'm planning on doing my own makeup for my wedding though and want to save money where I can.

How do I get the VIB offers? And what does it stand for? (Please say Very Important Bitch)

@lacqueredlover- I will have to pick that one up when I run out of eyeliner next! I'm super jealous of your free makeup/MAC discounts! I used to get makeup/polish freebies in my old field of work and I miss it so much, haha.

@charlieyankee03- what's your skin type? VIB stands for Very Important Beauty Insider, I think (though I'm now pretending it stands for Very Important Bitch). I think you get it once you spend a certain amount (aka too much) money there.

You need to spend like 1K at sephora per year to get it. Honestly, in the long run it will be cheaper to have your makeup done for your wedding than to buy all new makeup, primers, lashes and brushes for the day if you don't normally wear makeup.

It's a tier on their Beauty Insider program (which is free). You get VIB status when you spend more than $350 in a year and VIB Rouge if you spend more than $1000. They then start sending you extra discounts and invites to events and gift cards and stuff.

I love the Bobbi Brown corrector! It's heaven sent, so is the concealer. 

I got a 20% coupon off in the mail and got myself a new Bobbi Brown concealer brush since I left mine at my sister's house a few weekends ago and she can't find it anywhere.

Thanks @lacqueredlover and @amelisha! I haven't priced out a MUA yet, but I guess it's worth looking into since they could obviously do a better job than I could.

That did not stop me from spending $100 there yesterday. I got Bare Minerals foundation and illuminating powder and 2 new Urban Decay eyeliners (prompted by the Naked pallet discussion last week)

I just got back from Sephora.  I got a nail polish (because I'm incapable of not buying nail polish when it's available), the lash stash, the liner set and the mini Bite Beauty set.

I know it does. I checked today, actually. It showed I had made purchases, but they weren't counted for some reason? It shows I earned points, but it didn't go toward my annual spending.

Any ideas why?

I went with my mom.  I picked up blinc mascara, which I'm loving, and she bought Hope in a Jar moisturizer.  I also got my 'VIB Rouge' member gift, which was a bright red FX nail polish.  I didn't think I spent $1000 this past year on makeup.  Oops!
