Four days til D-Day AND we have no marriage license yet.  I hear Arizona is super easy but we only have two good days to coordinate our schedules because of Veteran's Day, and both of us are trying to get ahead at work, thus working a lot.. who would think this would be such an issue?  

Everyone keeps asking how we're feeling.  I don't even have an answer anymore.  Tired?  Stressed about money?  Ready for Mexico?  At the bottom of it all, I am excited to be married but I feel like I really did a disservice to myself by loading on so many planning details.   

Those who are done and married--please tell me that on the day of the wedding, I will forget about all the little things, trust they will get done or not care either way?  LOL

I was just about to write a post saying the same thing.  I don't know how to tell people I'm just okay, and I don't know how to have people help me or how to nicely tell folks who talk to me about every single thing they are doing to prepare that they are only stressing me out even more!  

I had a feeling I wasn't the only one feeling this way, but it sure helps to hear it.  Fingers crossed that you get your license sorted out soon!

I just want to assure you that yes, you will feel like the little details don't matter on the day.

We had small snafu's during the day and I was just like "Ugh, handle it!" and it was handled.  No worries!

I THINK I'll be able to run away from work for a little bit today and swing by there.  Otherwise we're going early Wednesday which means the dude will have to get out of bed early and that generally isn't his most favorite thing to do.   

People also ask if we're nervous.  We're like, no.  Pretty secure in this choice.  You asking me if I'm nervous sort of makes me nervous.. lol.

Also, I heard through a rather LONG grapevine that this girl we are very casually friends with "isn't sure" she's coming to the wedding.  I'm about 100% sure she ISN'T coming because... she wasn't invited.  We may have a crasher!  LOL

I had people ask me that too.  "Are you really nervous?  Excited?" It gets old.  I wasn't nervous until I was steps away from DH for our first look.  I wasn't nervous at any other time.

A crasher!  Oooooo I hope she doesn't wreck things!  Please update us on this mystery guest!

To warn you:  People might ask you what you're going to do after the wedding now that it's all done.  "Do you feel depressed that it's done now?"  No, there's plenty of other things to do.

So close!  Hang in there!!  It's going to be so much fun

We were saying yesterday how we're sort of thrilled that soon we won't be paying for like, ENDLESS wedding expenses.  We'll just sorta go on with our lives, except being married.

I will let you know how the crasher goes, for sure!

Also, got our license at lunch.  Done!  :-D

My response to people is now I'm just ready for this prewedding stuff to be over with but I'm really excited. To my close friends and family I'll give them the little, stressful details. I'm 18 days away and am SO ready for this. I know I can only control so much and only MY actions so I'm not stressing anymore!

We have 4 days left today, and I'm kind of in "done giving fucks" mode.

I'm so excited to get married, that it would take a lot more to upset me at this point.  And if they do- that's what champagne is for.

I am really excited about saying "husband" rather than "fiance".  I don't know why, but fiance sounds so AWish to me.  I clearly don't think that of people when they say it, but it's how I feel when I say it.

I like "husband" better too.  IT'S GOING TO BE SO WEIRD... LOL.  Excuse me for a second.

One more addition to my little vent... I have one friend (a bridesmaid) in particular who has asked me like every day for the past few weeks if I'm nervous or anxious, or she'll be like "Less than a week!" etc etc.  Which is cool that she's showing excitement too, but asking me if I'm nervous or anxious is starting to get irritating.  I'm up to my ears in plans and I have been for some time..... I'm not nervous or anxious to get married, that almost puts me off a little.  And she asks constantly if I think I'll cry or be emotional.  I am always emotional at weddings, but who knows how I'll be at my OWN, and it bothers me to think that someone will be like, scrutinizing my reaction and if I don't cry enough then maybe I don't care enough?  I know that sounds ridiculous, but that's how she is.

So, bottom line, can't wait to be married and not have to deal with all the questions!  Saturday, hurry.

It's hard being close to someone who is so critical!  Just let yourself feel what you're feeling; how she feels about your reaction is on her... and hopefully she keeps her opinion quiet!

Has she been married before?  I am feel like I'm totally guilty of asking if people were nervous before I started planning.

I'm so excited for Saturday.. but then I'm sure the questions about kids (which we are 75% on not wanting) will start.  Can't win.

I like 'husband'.  Hated 'Fiance'.  Hate 'hubby'.  

I find myself smiling when I lose DH in a store and I think "Where did my husband go?"

DH called me "Wife" a while ago (to clarify the seriousness of our relationship to his online XBox friends....god that sounds lame) because he didn't like the word fiancee either.  

DH keeps playing with his ring!  It's driving me nuts.  He dropped it on the floor of the apartment once.  I cringed.  He isn't used to it, I guess.

As far as 'will you cry?' honestly, just let whatever happen.  I teared up but didn't cry.  When people ask, just say "I'll know soon enough, right?" then bean dip.  That's a good bean dipping situation.

I feel weird saying Fiance, unless I was talking to wedding vendors. At work I usually just say boyfriend (still a little weird because I'm 31) but to the customers hitting on me, it's always been Husband - learned that quick when one customer was trying to convince me leave my fiance and go back to his home country in Africa with him, since we weren't married yet it's not too late to leave FI and travel with him.

Everyone enjoy the last days leading up to the wedding. You will be missing the madness once it's over. All along I kept telling myself, I can't wait until everything gets back to normal! But I do miss it! (Besides the endless money spending part). So soak it all in!! Good luck!
