  • Are the chickens on your place cards the stamps from Etsy? Can you direct me there? One of my coworkers was just asking me a couple weeks ago if I knew where to get chicken and cow stamps for her place cards!

    Thanks @emster86! I was REALLY happy with 50flowers. We ordered several months in advance, because some flowers are produced in limited quantities and we wanted to be sure nothing was sold out. (You're essentially calling dibs on product that hasn't grown yet.) I got text message alerts as each box was shipped and again when they were delivered. The quality was great - nothing broken, everything as described.

  • Can i ask how many flowers you ordered from 50flowers.com and how much you paid?  I am going to a diy flower shop but I want to be able to compare to someone who actually did there own.  Also did you make your own bouquets?

    @cincystacy I ordered:

    4 bunches mini garden roses (10 stems per bunch)
    10 bunches dusty miller (8-10 stems per bunch; very full and leafy)
    16 bunches creamy pink spray roses (10 stems per bunch, 3-5 blooms per stem)
    2 bunches coral sherbet big fun roses (25 stems per bunch)
    8-10 bunches or 80-100 stems light pink and yellow hypericum (10 stems per bunch, 12-14 berries per stem and very leafy)

    All of that came to $630. I also ordered 3 dozen 2-3" echeveria succulents and dried yellow billy balls from Etsy. Don't remember how much those cost but it was under $800 for everything.

    From that, I was able to do all the centerpieces (head table with the 4 coffee cups, 22 tables with a flower bowl and tall skinny vase) plus the ceremony arbor and a larger vase each for the 2 bars, guest book/card box table, and escort card table. I had dusty miller and spray roses leftover.

    I did not do my own bouquets - I got my bouquet, 5 bridesmaids' bouquets, and 3 corsages for the moms for about $600.

    Agreed. OP, did you use glass spray paint for your mercury glass or just regular spray paint? Just curious.

    I used Krylon Looking Glass sprayed on the inside, and after I did the vinegar mottling and got it looking how I wanted, added some flat black to the inside to add more depth and make it more opaque.
