My mouth tastes weird.

Probably due to the fact that I spent some serious time sealing up wedding invitations! Woo-hoo! Going to go run over to the post office in a little bit and drop them off.  How's everyone doing?? Get anything wedding related finished, or purposely put it off??

Um, you licked all your envelopes shut yourself?? Can you taste anything at all anymore?

I did nothing wedding related over the weekend, except go to Michael's to buy vases when they were 2/$5. They were totally sold out and I was bummed.

Congrats on getting the invites ready to go out, you must be really excited about it! I'm killing time on the boards until our ride to the airport gets here in hopefully 6 minutes...

Hope you didn't get a papercut on your tongue. That's the worst!

What can I say? I'm outta con-trol trol trol.....

nana- have an awesome time in vegas! we'll all be here grumbling about all this cloud busniess while you have some fun in the sun!

colsta- I was actually very concerned about that happening, luckily (or should I say lickily) that was not the case, this time!

kizat- I wish I would have thought to do that last night.  Someone else suggested to me that I could have used a sponge.  Insert face palm here.  I was just hoping I wasn't going to get poisoned from low quality envelope glue.....litle seinfeld, anyone?

OK .. is it wrong for me to be jealous of your loss of tastebuds?? LOL :) I'm considering this a tip - use the glue stick. I hate licking one envelope to pay a bill - a 100 of them would kill me!

As for the rest of wedding planning .. freaking out. But that's standard. And I went to DB yesterday and bought a sash for my sundress (trying to class it up a tad!) and about had a cow over the price. $29 for a 2 inch strip of fabric!! I was planning to buy the hair flowers in light blue to put on the sash as well. But cripes - two of them are $50! I can't justify that in my cheap little mind ... Looks like I'll be stalking Claires and Etsy!!

Etsy is totally the way to go on that sort of stuff! The BM dresses have white sashes around them, and my mom found some for half the price than at DB.

I bought the dang sash ... I felt bad. I put the poor sales lady through two different three hour dress try-ons and then bought my dress at the mall. :) I feel like I sort of owed it too her. I know it's irrational but that's how it goes ....

If you're wanting to attack flowers to the sash, I'm sure it will be super simple... just go to a craft store and find flowers you like... murderlize them the way you want them... and then sew them to the sash... way cheaper than buying a fancy clip..

Kizat -- I'm thinking you are on the right track. I'll go stalk the aisles at Micheals next time I get to Medford! If I can't find light blue flowers, I'll turn to Etsy. I just ordered some awesome elastic from a lady on there - light blue with brown dots and its reversible!! -- to make my nephew's suspenders for the wedding!

    omg... that sounds super cute.

I like etsy, i just sometimes feel like people on there are ripping off others... but maybe that's because I'm a mega crafter and know how to make hair fascinators for 10 dollars cost... and think it's insane that people charge 90 dollars for it.

My nephew/ringbearer is one of those gorgeous, always-up-to-something cute kids at the age of 6. He will totally steal the show at the wedding. That's why I'm making him the suspenders. Ramp up his cute factor to an 11!! He and my niece (also one of the gorgeous people) will likely choreograph some kind of dance routine to strut up the aisle to!!

As for etsy .. I completely agree. I'm pretty crafty and can do a lot of things. But there is no way I'm paying 90 bucks for something I could do for 10 though!!  Then there are a few who are truly talented and deserve the credit and work!
